Terms and Conditions of Let for Ashling House
When you confirm your booking by the payment of a deposit you are entering into a contract between you the visitor and Ashling House. Please read the following Terms and Conditions of let carefully and ask for an explanation of any point that may be unclear to you.
1. The letting period runs from 15.00 hrs on the day of arrival until 10.00 hrs on the day of departure. Departure MUST be prompt.
2. A firm booking will be made on receipt of a completed on-line booking form and deposit to the value of £100. The visitor is then liable for payment of the balance of the total sum due. The remainder of balance due should be sent to Ashling House four weeks prior to booking.
3. In the event of a cancellation the deposit will be refunded only if 4 weeks notice is given of the cancellation. Where a cancellation occurs within the 4 weeks specified Ashling House would endeavour to re-let for the cancelled period. Only if successful, the deposit, less a handling charge of £20 will be refunded. The visitor is responsible for arrangements of appropriate holiday cancellation insurance and, for the avoidance of any doubt; the owner provides no such insurance as part of the contract.
4. Only those persons listed on the booking form may occupy the booked accommodation. Sub-letting or assignation of the Let is strictly prohibited.
5. The person who arranges the booking will be responsible for ensuring that the conditions of let are adhered to, for any loss or damage to the accommodation and the contents, given fair wear and tear, however caused during the rental period.
6. The accommodation rented should be kept clean and in good condition and any breakages reported immediately. If excessive cleaning, at the discretion of Ashling House, is required a cleaning charge of £25 will be levied.
7. Personal property of visitors occupying accommodation is not the responsibility of Ashling House. Vehicles and personal property are left at your own risk.
8. Pets are not permitted, under any circumstances in Ashling House.
9. We shall not be liable for any cancellations, changes, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure by ourselves to perform our obligations to you which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) beyond our reasonable control (force majeure) e.g. fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, industrial dispute etc. In appropriate cases all monies will be refunded to you – no compensation, expenses costs or other sums of any description (including without limitation the cost of securing alternative accommodation) will be payable in such circumstances by us. We shall have no liability for any death or personal injury or for damage to or loss of your personal property occurring during the period of the holiday let.
10. Ashling House operate a strict NO SMOKING policy for all of our properties. Smoking of any kind is not permitted in any part of the property.
11. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over the accommodation to anyone who, in our opinion, is not suitable to take charge of the property - in any such case all monies shall be refunded and the Contract terminated without further liability. We reserve the right to enter the accommodation without notice, although all attempts will be made to notify you where possible. We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time or remove any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or causing or likely to cause annoyance or offence to other guests or residents in the vicinity of Ashling House. In such a case any refund would be entirely at the discretion of the Owners.
12. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of this website will be governed by English law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Please note, the Terms and Conditions of let may change without notice
